Considered to be the best movie of all time by the British Film Institute’s Sight & Sound magazine, “Vertigo”, Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece, continues to hypnotise and captivate audiences. Its visual and musical discourse goes beyond the limits of mystery and ventures into the territories of fear and the obsessions of the human mind. The performances of James Stewart and Kim Novak are etched into our mind’s eye.
Undoubtedly, one of the attractions of this film is the simply sublime pervasive music written by Bernard Herrmann, considered one of the best film scores of all time. Now, repeating the wonderful experience initiated with other classics such as “Nosferatu” and “Metropolis”, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra will perform the music from “Vertigo” live and in complete sync with the projection of the film.
