Sandra Carrasco is a sultry, seasoned, jazzy voice from southern Spain with flamenco roots and a free, eclectic spirit. A fantastic vocalist and musician who will capture both your heart and mind. On this occasion, Sandra Carrasco brings us a minimalist, classical performance that is a sincere expression of her passion for the music which has always inspired her. Although she is best known for her flamenco performances, Sandra Carrasco has always loved bolero and tango. A soul-baring duo recital with the pianist José María Cortina, her main accompanist in recent years.
Much has transpired since her professional début when the Huelva-born performer sang for artists such as Arcángel, El Pele, Manolo Sanlúcar, Miguel Poveda, Estrella Morente…among others. Since then, she has released five albums; collaborated with Estrella Morente, Concha Buika, Javier Limón, Anoushka Shankar, Chambao, Richard Bona, and Carmen Linares; participated in dance projects with the renowned choreographer Antonio Ruz; and even appeared on the television show Got Talent España, where she received four yes votes from the panel of Risto Mejide, Edurne, Eva Hache, and Jorge Javier Vázquez. In short, the Arriaga Theatre welcomes a risk-taking and audacious performer with a remarkable voice.
