RUPER ORDORIKA

In 2018, Ruper Ordorika released *Bakarka*, an album where he revisited 12 of his most recognizable songs in a solo format. This work was awarded the Best Basque Album at the 2019 MIN Awards organized by the UFI (Independent Phonographic Union). By then, Ruper had been alternating performances with his usual band with others where he presented himself in more intimate settings, only with the help of his guitar and his voice.

Now, in 2024, we present *Bakarka* bi, a new work in this minimalist format. After more than 40 years of experience and over twenty albums, there are many songs that we missed in the first installment (everyone will have their list), such as “Erruduna,” “Zaindu maite duzun hori,” or “Zaldiak negarrez,” which we will enjoy as part of this new batch of twelve songs. So now there are 24 tracks that Ruper presents us in this format, where, without artifice, he seeks the essence of the song. Surely, almost all of them will sound wonderfully at the Teatro Arriaga.
