Paco Ibáñez, the voice of the poets, the humanist, the committed artist, presents at Bilbao’s Arriaga Theatre his latest production, Vivencias, a journey through the songs that have shaped his life and his artistic career.
It has been 50 years since the release of his first record dedicated to Federico García Lorca and Luis de Góngora. Since then, the artist has always stood firm his struggle to find beauty, critical thinking, and his defence of mankind’s freedoms through poetry. His vital message is rooted in the deepest soul of several generations of men and women all around the world.
On the stage, in a beautiful and sombre setting, dressed in black and carrying his guitar, the artist regales us with songs enveloped by the force of poetry and the rhythm of the instruments.
His voice opens for everyone a mysterious and secret door, the silent and dazzling gateway into poetry… the gateway into freedom!
