Can you imagine a choreography made up of 10,000 gestures? Internationally acclaimed for his inventive creations, the French choreographer Boris Charmatz tirelessly investigates and develops new forms of dance. In this piece, he takes the ephemeral to a form of melancholia, as each movement vanishes as soon as it is made, creating a kind of visual hypnosis among the audience members. This sequence of movements, more characteristic of programmed digital language, is however created in an artisan way, through the bodies of dancers.
