The Arriaga Theatre is producing and staging this very special show – a poetic cantata with music by Manuel de Falla. A celebration of the human spirit living, dreaming, struggling and dancing with nature. A window into and a quest for the (sub)conscious and the nature of our dreams. Can our dreams be the key to crack the mystery of consciousness and tell us how our brain creates what we perceive as reality? Are our dreams connected to past experiences or to secret desires? Can a ‘Ritual Fire Dance’ keep ghosts away and open the way to the future?

The show is directed by Barbora Horáková Joly (Czech Republic), winner of the International Opera Award for Best Newcomer 2018. After L’Orfeo, I Hate Music and Dido & Aeneas, she will be once again part of the team in a production by the Arriaga Theatre.
