The Barcelona-born soprano Laura Brasó and the countertenor from San Sebastian, Mikel Uskola, accompanied by pianist Rubén Fdez. Aguirre, come together in this recital to showcase an important aspect of French musical literature: the repertoire for two voices. In the 19th century, “Parisian musical salons” became so fashionable that even the most renowned composers and performers participated in them. It is not surprising that knowing the presence, for example, of two well-known singers at an exclusive musical soirée, some of the prominent creators of the time composed duets for such occasions. In this recital, we will listen to duets by two esteemed organists such as Cesar Franck and Charles-Marie Widor, as well as songs by the emblematic Reynaldo Hahn de Echenagucia (his mother Elena María was Venezuelan of Basque origin).
