La mentira

Alicia catches her best friend’s husband with another woman. That same evening, they are going to have dinner with the couple. Should she say something?  Her husband strongly insists not to do so. Why? Has he got something to hide? A set of lies and truths that are perfectly orchestrated to take us to a surprising ending.

Premiered this season at the Edouard VII Theatre in Paris, La Mentira has become one of the leading plays on the Parisian billboard. The play is a real portrayal of married life. Where do lies and truths take us in a marriage? Each lie told has a consequence within the relationship that has no turning back and can only be resolved with another lie, or what could be worse, with a truth that appears to be more convincing…
