Saioa and Ander haven’t seen each other for twelve years. In university, they were inseparable. They were each other’s first love, support, and even their first time. And then, the couple broke up. Love turned into hate. Passion into anger.
Today is the wedding of Canario, their classmate. And yes, he has invited both of them. And yes, he has decided to seat them together. During the meal, tension fills the air, almost palpable. Silence becomes their only conversation. But when the after-dinner festivities begin, with its dancing and, above all, its open bar, there are too many dirty secrets to clean, too many wounds to heal, and too many accusations to hurl to continue hiding them behind that cloak of silence.
Throughout “La boda de otros” (The Wedding of Others), Saioa and Ander will embark on a journey through their shared past that will take them from suffering to nostalgia. From reproach to apology. And, above all, from contempt to gratitude.
