Joaquín Achúcarro. Una noche con el maestro

The great pianist from Bilbao, Joaquín Achúcarro, one of our most international musicians, is returning to the Arriaga Theatre to give a concert dedicated to two of the most important figures in 19th Century impressionist music: Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.

Joaquín Achúcarro will also give a special nod to our theatre by playing a piece by Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, since this performance coincides with the 212 anniversary of his birth. Undoubtedly a unique opportunity to enjoy the musical brilliance of the great maestro Achúcarro, whose name was included in the “100 Most Beautiful Piano Recordings of All Time” drawn up by the famous French magazine “Diapason”, sharing the honours with piano legends such as Rubinstein, Rachmaninoff, Horowitz,  Cortot, Gould, Arrau,  Richter, Brendel, Argerich,  Zimerman and Pollini, among others.
