HNUY ILLA
We inhale poetry through dance, song, music and images, looking at the world from the window that Sarrionandia opens to us.
In 1995 Joseba Sarrionandia published a book of poems that was a milestone in Basque literature: ‘Hnuy illa nyha majah yahoo’. In it, she compiled the poems written between 1985 and 1995. The performance HNUY ILLA is based on poems chosen from that book.
Taking advantage of their 25th anniversary, Kukai Dantza, in collaboration with the Tanttaka company, is working to recover the book and the performance. After putting together and updating what has been done, they offer the public this much-loved project once again.
