HANSEL & GRETEL

Based on the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm.

Adaptation of Humperdinck’s renowned opera for three singers, pianist, and acrobat, with a magical and convincing dramaturgy in which lighting and projections will serve as the staging’s central axis. The action begins on Gretel’s birthday. It has been the perfect party and she has been given lots of toys including a Barbie doll and her house. But what has excited her the most is the story of Hansel & Gretel, because they are named after them.

After the celebration, the children read the story with fervour and act out the characters. They are so engrossed in reading, when in a flash Barbie herself appears and invites them to continue the birthday celebration in her magnificent home. Thus, the two siblings get to directly experience what it is like to be a part of a magnificent fairy tale.
