Following André y Dorine y Solitudes, the company Kulunka Teatro returns to the silent language of masks in a performance that combines tenderness and rawness.
Forever is the story of how a family gradually moves away from what it dreamed it would be. Reflecting with humour and irony on the contradictions of love, it focuses on themes such as parenthood, education, disability, overprotection, sexuality and violence. On a revolving platform and with very cinematographic language, Forever is a merry-go-round; the Ferris wheel of life. But it is also a spiral which, as it turns, intensifies the pain of its protagonists. How far can noncommunication pull a family down? Perhaps what is disturbing, what is heart-wrenching, is that this family’s story could be our own.
FOREVER is a co-production of the company Kulunka with the Centro Dramático Nacional, Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao and the Teatro Victoria Eugenia in Donostia-San Sebastian.
