It’s the first day of the sales in a large department store in the capital. The crowd surges and an accident happens. Deep inside the building, a security guard is questioning a man who came to buy a suit and who seems to have something to do it. But…what went on exactly? What is the security guard really after in this interview?
El traje (The Suit) talks of political corruption and corruption of the soul, of solitude and of a point, right now, when maybe there’s still time to change all of this. Two characters are involved in an intellectual and physical confrontation that is tense and raw, brimming with suspense and hilarity. Javier Gutiérrez and Luis Bermejo star in this play written by Juan Cavestany (Max Award for Best Author in Spanish for Urtain) which uses dark humour to raise questions regarding our voracious and individual survival instinct when faced with the chance of real survival.
