El cartógrafo

The search for a map becomes a search for oneself

11 to 14 may 2017

In today’s Warsaw, Blanca hears about the legend of the cartographer of the ghetto. More specifically, the legend claims that whilst everything was dying around him, an old cartographer was determined to draw a map of the world that was in danger. However, to do so, the cartographer needed help, as his legs no longer supported him so he couldn’t search for the information he needed, so as girl went out to look for it for him.

Blanca will believe in the legend of the cartographer and will obsessively throw herself into the search for that old map. However, this search will be more significant for her as she will be unknowingly going out in search of herself.  The cartographer is a play –a map- about this search and that legend.
