Referring to tango, the writer Jorge Luis Borges described it as: “… the most widely disseminated Argentine creation, the one that has insolently spread the Argentine name over the face of the earth.”
Under the direction of Basilio Astúlez, the San Juan Bautista choir, soprano Naroa Intxausti, and Buenos Aires bandoneonist Edgardo Otero will delve into the “Cien barrios porteños” (Hundred Porteño Neighbourhoods) with the works of Astor Piazzolla, Ariel Ramírez, and Martín Palmeri. Alos Quintet and pianist Itxaso Sáinz de la Maza complete this ensemble, with whom we will travel to the quintessential Buenos Aires.
