CHARLIE Y LA FÁBRICA DE CHOCOLATE, El musical

The world-famous Willy Wonka opens the doors of his mysterious factory in the Arriaga Theatre. Young Charlie Bucket, and four other golden ticket winners, will live an experience that will change them for ever. Guided by the famous factory workers, the Oompa-Loompas, they will enter Wonka’s imaginary world, full of chocolate waterfalls, crazy squirrels, a huge glass elevator and many more surprises. The musical is based on the incredible story written by Roald Dahl, that was adapted for the cinema in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, by director Mel Stuart in 1971, with songs by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newle and in a second hit adaptation directed by Tim Burton in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in 2005 starring Johnny Depp. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Musical, was performed for the first time in London’s West End in 2013, breaking box office records until 2017. After several successful seasons, the musical made it to Broadway in 2017 and toured the United States in 2018; in 2019, it set off on its Australian tour until 2021, visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. The musical has been adapted into other languages and, in 2019, it made its debut in Milan and Norway; in 2021, it reached Brazil, France and Denmark. Show recommended for ages 7 and up.
