At a Roman theatre, a theatre company from the first century AD announces it will perform a show titled Ben-Hur: The Greatest Story Never Told. Faithful to the novel by Lewis Wallace, the play takes the audience through all the well-known moments in the life of Judah Ben-Hur: the three Magi from the East led to Bethlehem by a bright star, the Roman prefect hit by a loose roof tile that falls on him, the coming of the Christ, the sea battle, the chariot race… and the bitter rivalry with his friend Messala, who he attempts to kill… or not.
Based on an idea by Yllana and written by Nancho Novo, Ben-Hur offers a unique view of the epic character delivered with a comic spin, an incredibly fast pace and great visual ingenuity in ‘theatremascope’ – a blend of film and theatrical language in a 3D show with no need of 3D glasses.
