ANTTON VALVERDE

Antton Valverde, at 80 years old, remains one of the most prolific active artists in the Basque song tradition. True to his style, he brings us new songs born from his refined taste in setting poems by authors such as Miren Agur Meabe, Karlos Linazasoro, and Gerardo Markuleta to music. In this concert, we also have the pleasure of revisiting a selection of his songs that have become true classics, introducing the audience to universal authors like Lizardi, Gandiaga, Lete, and Lauaxeta. Always with his inseparable piano, Valverde presents a sober and elegant live performance accompanied by excellent musicians.
