The splendid voice of the soprano, Ainhoa Arteta will be used for songs by Federico García Lorca, Antón García Abril, Xavier Montsalvatge, Miquel Ortega and Jesús García Leoz, to offer a special and different show.
Ainhoa Arteta, our most international soprano of today, celebrates her 25th anniversary on the stage by offering us ‘The Voice and the Poet’, in which she pays tribute to Federico García Lorca performing some of the songs to which the author himself put music –’Canciones españolas antiguas’ (‘El Café de Chinitas’, ‘Nana de Sevilla’, ‘Zorongo’, ‘Anda, jaleo’, ‘Los cuatro muleros’, ‘Sevillanas del siglo XVIII’)– and others in which Antón García Abril, Manuel García Morante, Jesús García Leoz, Xavier Montsalvatge or Miquel Ortega have put the music to the poet’s verses.
The show also includes ‘La sangre derramada’ from ‘Llanto por la muerte de Ignacio Sánchez Mejía’ in a recording recited by Paco Rabal and ‘Leonardo y la novia’ from “Blood Wedding” performed by Rafael Alberti.
Alongside the singer, pianist Rubén Fernández Aguirre is responsible for accompanying her.
